my homage to the show Big bang theory. Now that the idiots ruined two and a half men..they should have left Charlie in jail until they worked it out on the series.
Yet they killed him and in the process killed the entire show as Charlie Sheen made every joke work as he played himself and made everyone else funnier.

seems wall street and banking think our problems are all due to people buying houses they could not afford. This reframe discounts fannie and freddie Mandates and banks writing an orgy of bad paper for short term profit, this ignores Wall street rating these packaged loans as AAA rated investments and ignores the under insuring by AIG and they getting huge taxpayer paid welfare checks on their gambling...yet funding for unemployment is Socialist. Gotta love it.

I was listening to NPR last Friday on the way to doing caricature for Greg Seminara's 50th birthday and I heard criticism from leading Democrats and republicans on the Tea Party how they were too fringe and I was laughing. the republicans talked about how a candidate said something racial and said they would embrace the tea party if they came out against gay marriage. that Lowering taxes was only a part of the dangers of the tea Party and I laughed more. So this cartoon came to mind, I hope you enjoy.
The Party was at Zucca. Greg has a wonderful family and friends and Zucca has great food. I am Italian and am a harsh judge of Italian but everything was excellent!!!!

The browns lost one of their great players form the 1960s/70s in TE Milt Morin. he was one of my favorites, even more then hall of Fame TE Newsome in that he was a Complete TE as he was a great run blocker as well as a receiver with soft sure hands. LeBron Panned Cleveland for the Money and the fame and the NBA needed Lebron in a top TV market not #30 market Cleveland. The NBA has a salary cap, ok don't laugh, but three guys they signed put them over yet some clause or exemption allows them to pay another 8 or so players and still be under the cap? Don't get it? They should be on the Obama Economic Stimulus team
The NBA and Major league baseball both trail the NFL in popularity, and crap like this is why. Small market teams have no chance when the field is tilted to big markets. No revenue sharing and top teams blowing the bank is what the PLAYERS want and fans can stick it. That is why I am an NFL fan and Lebron with his goat horns pranced off and can never go HOME again. Money and fame he will have, respect is what he lost. Yet it is his right, and fans of those sports in small markets need to give the NBA and Baseball their due...and save their money for NFL tickets.

How is that for Open governance. We do need health care reform., but Reform is the last thing this boondoggle is. Just more onerous taxes passed on to We the People( who pay taxes).

Eric Mangini continues to rip apart the Cleveland browns with bad trades. Hs most recent blunder, the Three beans( two more Jets stiffs and a 3rd round pick) for braylon Edwards from a receiving corps made up of rookies and journeymen put an offense that was on life support to flat lining. The recently fired hand picked Toady Kokinis, a buddy whom Mangini threw under the bus, was reported to have said, he first heard of the trade on the radio.
The Lerners( owners of the Browns) have hired four ROOKIE GMs in a row that keeps the team in a Groundhaog Day of football hell. Randy Lerner was quoted( by email he won't actually speak to anyone) that mangini will have a hand in picking the next GM. We are still an expansion team. The Owner has no Clue and the coach is a Power mad fool.

A friend of mine Ed Roberts got me watching a food show on the Travel Channel called No Reservations. Ed had a show taped Anthony Bourdain did on Cleveland Ohio, close to where I grew up and I liked the show. Imagine, me watching a Food Show. But his smarmy New Jersey smart aleck take on life with food mixed in is actually pretty good TV. So I did his caricature, but did not have any pics of his toothy grin, but hey I got his sneaky smile.

By all these political puns at Obama you would think I am a republican. I am not. I am for the candidate who is best for America. As I truly hope Obama is for Change I want him to sit on corrupt banking, hedge funds, credit card usury, and quit bailing out the hucksters that got us here, including Fannie and Freddie. But color me skeptic whenever a Politico talks about Change it is usually just changing the names at the pork and payoff table. here is one, no two. Anyway. I had a brainstorm/ kick in the keester when I spoke to an event planner. Seems LOL, a term that means laugh at loud was a quality that another event planner thought important. I relayed a story how a very shy guest was watching me caricature someone and as I asked if she would like to be drawn, her touching response was that she was not pretty and preferred not. When I finished with my drawing I found her with her husband and did a LOL picture of him, of her I was quite flattering, so much so that he face lit up. While LOL is a fine quality, I find some people do not appreciate an LOL if they perceive it is at their expense. But the dialog did help me push my presidential portraits more LOL, and for that I say thanks.

I just got back from Italy and all those Madonna alter pieces must have burned my hard drive. Earlier, I posted on the Eric Mangini and the new baby GM of my team, the Cleveland Browns and dubbed them Manfredo( comparing the new gm to a Fredo( Godfather fame, a joke rookie gm, the 4rth new GM since thier return in 1999). I was blasting yet another rookie Gm and cringed at the three beans for a cow Kellen Winslow trade. Now the Browns have kicked me off the website for a second time for name calling( It is now a violation to name call our front office). As I see my team descend to the level of AFC Detroit Lions while watching The Steelers and Ravens run like REAL football clubs, I can remember browns i loved watching... and here they are. I only have my memories because the reality is my team is now a nightmare run by fools.

I have a dirty little secret. I have loved watching pro football since I watched my browns as a nine year old win the 1964 championship, But like a horror movie, the team of my youth, save for a season of the cardiac kids, and Marty Schottenhiemer runs it has been a bleak existance. My sister in laws kids have 5 or 6 teams( whichever one is winning) as their team at laugh at my Browns. I said that is like having 6 wives, who cares if one runs out on you, there is little emotional attachment, but that about sums up fandom in the xbox generation. Anyway, I got bounced from the Browns website for name calling a fan that suggested any deviation from the Joseph Stalin party line makes one a heretic browns fan. here is my rub. We( the Browns owner Randy Lerner, gifted of many dollars but little sense said he was going to hire a top football GM to conduct an exhaustive search for the next head coach...so he rushes at Eric Mangini ( recently fired Jets Coach( whom no one was going to hire as head man) like a fat kid at the first girl that says yes, and another rookie GM, that is FOUR rookie GMs since our return and you wonder why we stink. So I Came up with Manfredo, half Mangini and half his puppet Fredo( I'm gonna learn the casino business")Kokonis is his name. So we dump Winslow, Jones, Davis and Scheaffer, all starters and pay a collection of cast off Jets. Ouch. Maybe i should finally Divorce my browns, they have alienated my affections at every turn, this is the lates.

I was at the norcross fair 10/02/08 and saw a lonely WSB Radio truck. They were promoting their great on air staff but needed some help. I did a caricature of these great talk radio heads and thought maybe they should hire me. Or maybe YOU may hire me for your next pary to do caricatures. I am fast and I mingle and draw people as they are relaxed and not "posing". It makes the likenesses more revealing as people tend to FREEZE when they sit for a caricature. Also if you got a client you want to grease in the name of goodwill or to cement a relationship, I am you guy as well.

I like the new candidate obama and want to see him try to clean up some of the grift and graft in Washington. Good luck. Hope is his election buzzword. Does raising taxes historically bring Hope for a better economy? How bout just closing gaping loopholes like republican Phil Graham helped create for energy for his buds at Enron. Hope. I have not seen the conservatives this much in a dither since Bobby Kennedy. The War hawks and defense spenders and contractors Hope that Obama fails. The religious right Hopes enough see him as a Muslim. The lower classes Hope for some redistribution in the form of a windfall tax from the earners to them. I Hope as well. What have I seen for the last 30 plus years (Reagan, son of God of the republicans included). Horrid trade deals and the crippling of many american industries as the NEW "captains of industry" rush to the country with the cheapest labor, cheating and defrauding in the S&Ls( John "boy Scout" McKain was a storied member of the Keating 5), changing laws regarding corporate trusts that kept back the flood of corporate trakeovers since TR( thanks Ronnie) which led to "Wall Street" robber barons stealing peoples life savings and retirements as they were included in the assets of the merged company. Hope Obama changes that back. WE had wall street funny accounting and book cooking that grifted, thanks for declawing all oversight...hope Obama changes that. WE have enviornmental whackos( the UN) that really only wants to "sell", they have nothing to sell but enviornmental "carbon points" reminicent of indulgences once peddled by the church of Rome in the 1500s as a way to grift from the more affluent economies to redistribute to whom they see fit. Hope Obama doesn't fall for that grift.
But the death of political correctness, becase how are you gonna caricature a black president without the thought police and the Ministry of Truth( Political Correctness) breathing down your neck and painting you with a Scarlett R( racist). Imangine making his ears too big( who decides how big), his nose too wide, his smile too large...they got a tough job ahead as they run against the tide of RightThink.
